The Long Walk Home

"One night, in Hyderabad, India while driving to the apartment Chandu had a flat tire. His cousin Swapna was with us. So, we all three had to get out and wait for a mechanic to come change the tire. We had tea and really a good time while waiting". Taken by Ron Harmon

The Tradesman

"Luis is a friend of mine from Santiago, Dominican Republic. He's an interesting character: a skilled tradesman, baker, upholstery expert, furniture maker, importer and all around deal maker. If you are looking for something, Luis is your man. Need custom drapes, curtains, and matching mahogany furniture? Look no further - Luis knows who, what, where and how.

Whoa. Cold.

"We were cave-exploring in Veng-Vieng, Laos and came across this natural cold-water pool. We decided to take a dip and discovered the pool had an underwater entrance that led into a series of underground caves. It was a lovely way to spend hot, lazy afternoon in Laos. Best of all, we had it all to ourselves. This is what comes of having the courage to wander off the beaten track!". Taken by Carrie

Broken Tree

"When I was walking in the forest I came across a Norwegian Spruce (Picea abies) tree that was broken and I liked the view with the trunk looking at the fallen tree. It seems like a strong wind had passed through the forest and snapped the tree in two. There was several trees in that area that had been toppled over some years ago (the vegetation had started to grow back) so it was a cool area to explore.

"I had to climb up some trees to get this picture and I almost fell down several times ;). I think the broken tree picture got somewhat of a dark, eerie feeling to it. What do you think?". Taken by
