I spent 5 months close to his house in Gety, Democratic Republic of Congo, and I took many pictures of him. But this day he was particularly proud to be photographed. He is a displaced man from Lendu and he is very poor and lives in a very small mud hut with his family. Taken by C.Stramba

Bully for Fu(jairah) - a meeting of minds

"Fujairah bullfighting is a bloodless event where weight classed farmer bulls come together in a sumo-wrestling style clash every friday by the Fujairah corniche.

Allegedly introduced to the region by early portugese settlers the event has continued as a weekly recreation for locals including farmers, fishermen, families and of course the odd tourist.

The bulls are torn apart before remotely serious damage can be done as they are substantial investments for their owners.

Amor et Psyche

"Shot on location in Paris, France.

Visitors of the Louvre Museum in Paris love this sculpture, and I do too: the famous 'Amor et Psyche' from the artist Antonio Canova, who lived between 1757 and 1822.

The sculpture captures the moment Amor returns Psyche from her deadly sleep - after being kissed by Amor she´s awake and back to life. Canova created a marvelous work, where the spectator realizes the gentleness of love. The way Psyche hugs Amor creates a vivid dynamic composition in pure marble". Taken by John Grace
