Improper Behaviour

"These small ivory figures are on display in the Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shanghai, China. They were used in ancient times to depict the site of pain of a female patient to the doctors in attendance who would invariably have been males. It would not have been proper to point to their own body to show the site". Taken by Mike
