In the Spotlight
"A man from Xinjiang province hawks lamb kebabs at his stand in Yu Feng Park. This shot surprised me. Sometimes we get lucky. I never really noticed the lighting from the naked bulb hitting his face and the smoke until I got in and downloaded onto the computer.
This is one of may favorite shots from three years in China.

It's a beauty. I love the serene expression on his face. Almost looks like a religious ceremony is going on.
That's a good analogy Anne... I think he was actually just trying to warm his hands a bit, but lucky for me he was standing in the right spot under the light!
