Salt Farm

"When I approached this boy I gently asked him if I could take a photo which he acknowledged by a simple nod, a smile and soft Thai words 'dai, mai pen rai' literally meaning 'it's ok, no problem'. While taking the photos I just thought about the capability of human suffering. I just imagined if he had a wound how much pain could he endure before he would lose the pay of the day.
At the same time and through the viewfinder of my camera, as the rake moved the salt with heavy duty and fast strokes, I could not unnoticed his six packs and thought about how much protein people nowadays take to get muscle shaped in the gyms while they could have it done on the field... naturally."
