Bully for Fu(jairah) - a meeting of minds

"Fujairah bullfighting is a bloodless event where weight classed farmer bulls come together in a sumo-wrestling style clash every friday by the Fujairah corniche.

Allegedly introduced to the region by early portugese settlers the event has continued as a weekly recreation for locals including farmers, fishermen, families and of course the odd tourist.

The bulls are torn apart before remotely serious damage can be done as they are substantial investments for their owners.
