"Normally I photograph the cowsharks with a fisheye lens but it tends to give the sharks a distorted appearance... this time I was trying for some shark portraits with a narrower lens and it seems to work better (well to my eye anyhow)...". Taken by jtresfon

"I took a trip to my local market today. It is not USDA approved.

Just steam, add some fresh red peppers and a sweet & sour sauce and go to town. In much of China the head of the fish, especially the cheeks, are considered a delicacy. I haven't gone there yet... I have had the fish head soup. Once". More here. Taken by Expatriate Games

The Great Barrier Reef

"This is the first of many photos from my three month trip to Australia and New Zealand. This is at Green Island, in the Great Barrier Reef.

The reef was amazing, like nothing I've ever seen and I wish I could go back. I went snorkeling on the reef about five times and it never got boring. My favorite sightings were a stingray, the giant clams, and something that I like to call a rainbow fish.

Me: No Mr. I just love that you're a beautiful creature. :)

Mr. Fish: HELL YEAHH I am! Now, go home and go to sleep boi or i'm gonna call my bodyguards!

Diving the Reef

"The day we dived the Great barrier reef off the East coast of Australia it was raining, but once we were in the water it didn't matter at all. We were only at snorkel depth but the sights were amazing, the corals, the jellies (yes they were about so we had to wear 'stinger suits') and the fish, everywhere we looked and in every colour".
