Ołtarz Wita Stwosza

The Altarpiece of Wit Stwosz (Veit Stoß) in the St. Mary's Basilica (Kościół Mariacki) in Kraków, Poland, with its wing panels closed. The three stained glass windows of the chancel (added in 1365), seen behind the alterpiece, date back to the second half of the 14th century. It has always amazed me how three out of five windows of the chancel have survived intact for turbulent 650 years! Taken by bazylek100

"If you climb the Giralda, or clock tower, of the Cathedral in Seville, Andalucia, Spain, your ascent is monitored by a number of Gargoyles such as this friendly chap". Taken by Mike

The Old Lady

"The Old Lady, as I like to call Notre Dame Cathedral. Just a little reminder, this perfect example of Middle ages French art was actually built between 1163 and 1351 on the Isle of la Cité, in the very heart of Paris. I'll admit that out of all the monuments of Paris, I have a particular affection for la Vieille Dame!". Taken by Fredcan

Night Tower

"The ancient city of Siena in Tuscany has this strikingly beautiful cathedral in black and white stripes. At night when the tourists have left it stands almost alone in all its grandeur". Taken by Michael
