It's not always guaranteed that the weather will be on your side to see the sun that day but on this day (21st December 2007) everything was perfect and the sun rose in spectacular fashion". Glory

"Sunrises over water can add a special twist. It's not so obvious but atmosphere bends the rays of light so that you see the sun before it really comes up over the horizon. It gives a special chance of the sun to use the reds and ocres in its paint set. This is a shot out over the Gulf of Mexico (or is it the Caribbean Sea at the point) on a cruise coming back from the Yucatan Peninsula.
