Urban Garden

"Whilst visiting central Shanghai recently I went for an early morning stroll from my modern skyscraper hotel. Just across the road was an entrance to a park where many Chinese people were practicing their Tai Chi moves. The park was beautiful all the more so because of its central location surrounded by High Rise apartments and office blocks". Taken by Mike

The Past Rises Up

"Levant Mine in Cornwall, UK. We saw a storm coming in from the Atlantic but we had just enough time to take advantage of some of the best light of the whole trip. These tin mines were once the heart of the Cornish economy, along with fishing. Their tunnels often extend out some way under the ocean. They are now relics, eye candy for one of the most visited places in the country. Cornwall is the poorest County in England". Taken by Tom Craggs

Far Far Away

"One of my favourite shots from last week. This was taken on my way home from a shooting. I stopped at the fields as the sun went down and took a few photos of the wheat laying there very calm. The sky was a bit boring white so I exchanged it with the sky taken the next day shortly before a thunderstorm came up. It was nice in colour but I like the 'infrared' effect and turned it into black & white. Just raising up the greens and pulling down the blues made the photo finally look how I wanted it to look". Children of Iceland

"The 'Perlan', Oskjuhlio, Reykjavik, Iceland. We went for a walk to 'The Perlan' - a feature of the Reykjavik skyline which had for decades been used to store hot water, now it is used as an exhibition space and restaurant. Outside on the top the architecture felt like something from another world - for me then it summarises the whole of Iceland's landscape - amazing!". Taken by Tom Craggs
