In the Spotlight

"A man from Xinjiang province hawks lamb kebabs at his stand in Yu Feng Park. This shot surprised me. Sometimes we get lucky. I never really noticed the lighting from the naked bulb hitting his face and the smoke until I got in and downloaded onto the computer.

This is one of may favorite shots from three years in China.

Liuzhou, Guangxi, China - February 16, 2010". Taken by Expatriate Games

The Blue Planet

"I got this animal globe for my niece a while ago to improve her geographical knowledge and learn about animals across the planet. It's a good source of info and great fun.

In this image I lit part of the globe with a blue LED light in an effort to show the freezing weather we have been having across Europe and many other parts of the world". Taken by Sogs Karim

The Keeper of the Intersection

"Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico near El Centro. This dog seems to guard an intersection on a quaint side street just west of The Palace of Cortez day and night. I guess I caught him on an off day next to a vibrantly painted bakery". Taken by Daniel Murphy
