"The Taishoike pond in the fog in the Kamikochi national park in the Japanese Alps. Most people associate Japan with the tall buildings and crowds in Tokyo or the temples and shrines in Kyoto, but my favourite memories are linked with its nature". Taken by Hoshisato

"The town of Yangshou, in the province of Guangxi, southern China is at the far end of the increasingly popular Li River cruise. So popular with both western and Chinese tourists that a busy tourism industry has now grown up. It is mindblowing when you come across signs outside a bar in so many different languages and so many different alphabets, the words global village were never so appropriate". Taken by Mike

Happy Family Day.... Today is the first day of a new Statutory Holiday in Ontario.
'There is nothing more valuable to families than time together. And yet it seems tougher than ever to find, with so many of us living such busy lives.
'That's why, on the third Monday of February — and every February from now on — Ontarians deserve a new statutory holiday — Family Day.'

"This is a fairly typical side street in Havana, Cuba away from the tourists. It looks run down and in poor condition, but it is only like that on the outside. If you get a chance to go into one of these homes, the welcome is as bright as the decor. Everywhere is music. It is a fantastic place". Taken by Mike
