The Wave Rock
"This amazing place in the middle of nowhere is The Wave Rock. We travelled over 100kms to here on a dirt road beause we missed the main (bitumen) road turn! The drive was worth it though and we had lots of fun pretending to surf on this wave. The little town of Hyden owes it's ongoing existence to this rock and the tourists that visit it. Definitely worth a look if you are in the area". Australia. Taken by Carl & Heidi

I don't think this is glacial - it never gets cold enough here for ice
Wikipedia says that weathering occurred under ground before the rock was later exposed.

yes thanks Heidi-
but as you know our planet has been a shape shifter and the land masses were at one time joined and the climates were varied just as they are today- in accordance with their postioning,ocean conveyer (ocean currents and temps), air currents so on so on.
and of course australia was connected to antarctica before the continental drift seperated you. this was during the permian and much closer to the south pole and coverd with ice was australia- glaciated large ice caps to be more precise your eromanga basin is a great bit of evidence. antarctica itself at one time had a rainforest like climate!
in a nut-shell I guess what I should have asked was if you know of the age of the formation. HAH ;)
